Television's Mid-Season

As January 2011 draws to a close, I have had the opportunity to watch several new shows: a few which were highly anticipated, and others, not so much.  Since this blog is not entirely devoted to television, I won't spend a lot of time reviewing the programs I've seen.  There are a few I'll mention:

The Final Word

I've been reading and writing about Ricky Gervais all week - don't know about you, but I'm tired of it (at least for now).  So, in the interest of closure - just a few more thoughts.  Through a variety of forums,e.g., The Piers Morgan Show, Ricky has spoken.  In answer to those who criticized his Golden Globes performance he basically stated that he didn't care what others felt - he was hired to do a job, he did it, next time don't hire him; words to that effect.  I agree.  Mr. gervais is getting on with his life - his animated program for HBO, The Ricky Gervais show has premiered.  He and Stephen Merchant have launched, An Idiot Abroad for the Science Channel (haven't seen it yet; it premieres tonight, so will write about it later).  He is still a comedy genius, in my humble opinion.

Anything and Everything

I've discovered that I like to blog - I'm so very opinionated and can't always find a forum for my thoughts ( some might call them my rants).  I'm fairly new to the idea of "networking" - I've only been on facebook now, for about 8 months - (don't like it much).  Through that outlet, I found out about http://www.getglue.com/(a little better) and then, http://www.tv.com/- where I also have a blog.
